Product Description

Ludwig Reiter was established in Vienna in 1885. This is a family business now in it's fourth generation today which is still based on the production of Goodyear welted shoes in the classical Viennese style.

Tradition at Ludwig Reiter is by no means an end in itself, but it seeks to transform and develop. The Viennese shoemaking tradition combines an uncompromising preservation towards high quality standards, finishing techniques and progressive development. New interpretations of the traditional shape and style provide an insight into the contemporary and modern requirements of the clients. All these requests merge into the vision statement of Ludwig Reiter: “The Future of Tradition”.

Ludwig Reiter, the shoe maker was established in Vienna in 1885.
This is a family run business now in it’s fourth generation and still based on the production of Goodyear welted shoes in the classical Viennese style – a bar of quality set up by the original Herr Reiter (the first of 3 Ludwigs!) in 1885.

With an emphasis on leisure and outdoor, we love how the materials and styling of the sneakers and casual styles have an understated, luxe aesthetic.
